Let’s just be honest. It has been a rough start for movies in 2020. Things are still looking pretty bleak with Corona-virus scare pushing out major release dates for some highly anticipated blockbusters.

—But do not fret, there are still some quality movies coming to the theatres. So pack some disinfectant wipes and head out to the cinema.

Pete Davidson stars in this coming-of-age film about a straight edge student that idolizes an offbeat drug dealer. The very unlikely duo quickly find out that they compliment each other well and things don’t turn out to be as bad as you would think.

The Climb

The Climb - Still 1
Kyle Marvin and Michael Covino appear in The Climb

This Sony Pictures Classic is gearing up for a limited U.S. release so if you get the chance to see it in your city, I highly recommend this brotherly comedy. Kyle and Michael are two peas in a dysfunctional pod. Michael reveals early on that he slept with Kyle’s fiance. Kyle full of resentment has to learn how to live with that and forgive his best friend.

The New Mutants

This much anticipated X-Men spin-off has been through the works with dates being pushed, rumors of re-shoots. It is difficult to say where exactly the X-Men series is going, because it feels like they don’t have a leader. Well despite the iffy criticism, I am really excited for this one and it will be interesting to see how this horror inspired comic book film will turn out.
