“Chaos is order yet undeciphered.”

Before Denis Villeneuve went on to direct some of his most critically acclaimed films such as, Blade Runner 2049, Arrival, Sicario, and the new Dune remake, he made this little gem; Enemy. Having only a short run in 120 U.S. theatres, chances are that this one slipped by you.
Enemy, truly is a subtle masterpiece. A quintessential psychological thriller, that leaves interpretation up to you. However, it’s not all surreal. For most of the film, the story is somewhat straightforward. In brief, Enemy follows the mundane life of Professor Adam Bell, played by Jake Gyllenhaal as he discovers that he may have a long lost twin, Anthony Claire. This is only where it begins to get complicated, as Adam unravels the bizarre mystery of his twin he discovers even more dark secrets.
Enemy is one of those kind of movies that makes you think. The end will shock you and leave your mind racing, trying to reconnect all of the dots and I think that’s what makes this film so incredible. Gyllenhaal gives every acting opportunity his all and you can clearly witness this in Enemy. Enemy is now streaming on Netflix, so give yourself a little thrill and check it out now.
